Weston, Florida Speed Traps

There is a part of I595 westbound that goes over Weston road which dips after that section and there is an FHP waiting on the other side, after you get hit, they are lined up on the left side of the road pulling people over….

On the I-75 northbound exit toward Arvida Blvd, once on the bridge over I-75, the speed limit reduces to 35 MPH. The boulevard is 3 to 4 lanes wide and almost on a daily basis a motorcycle police hides in the median and tickets speeding cars. Almost everybody drives much faster than the speed limit but be careful.

Enforcement is a mile after I-595 (leaving Fort Lauderdale)ends into I-75. FHP and Broward Sheriff Office often sit in median hidden by portion of bridge that you are on. They will occasionally run radar on the south bound side when limited visibility is at their favor (early morning sunrise and night) their patrol cars blend into the brige easily.

As you come off the highway, the off ramp is long and sweeping. However, the speed limit suddenly drops off to 35 miles per hour. Enforcement is at night usually after peak traffic hours. The officers get out of their cuisers with pen and citation pads ready to go! It’s a money maker!
