Cops regularly park their vehicles underneath the overpass to catch speeders. Speed limit is 35, but flow of traffic is closer to 50-55.

Beaulah Road

When heading South on Beaulah Road from Highway 50 (heading towards West Orange High School) beware that the city police sit prior to the Turnpike overpass and radar. They sit near the entrance to a industrial area to the East.

Winter Garden Police position themselves in front of Stoneybrook West, across from the Whispering Oak Elementary School, when the speed limit drops from 35MPH to 20MPH in the school zone. They use a hand held device which is undetectable by my radar detector.

Daniels Road

The Police in Winter Garden are doing a great job on Daniels Rd south of State Road 50 all the way to the Mall. I never knew they used an airplane, and video cameras to get your speed. I received a ticket for unlawful speed (48 mph in a posted 35 mph zone)which was for $158.50 and 3 points on my License. I never saw a Police Officer the entire time and then in the mail was a video from the eye in the sky with my car speeding and a print out of my speed. I was not even mad about this. I thought about all the times that I have run red lights, not used my turn signals when changing lanes, speeding, littering from my car and driving without my headlights on when raining and how I have never been caught. So I take this as a lesson learned and encourage everyone to use caution when driving because you never know where the Police really are.

Daniel’s Road near 429 Turnpike

Winter Garden, FloridaAug 09, 20071 Comments

With the construction of the grooves they have changed the speed limit three times. It was 45, then overnight it went to 40, and now they have dropped a four lane road to 35mph for the entire length of it. The adjoining 535 has been dropped to 35 as well to force people down the new four lane road where they sit at two locations. One under the 429 overpass and closer to the 50 sitting inside the entrance to a subdivision peering around the corner to tag you. Not a single house fronts the road, all rural or subdivisions with six foot high block walls line the road, 35 is simply for money
