Tuscawilla Road between East Lake Drive and SR434

Winter Springs, FloridaOct 01, 20010 Comments

Tuscawilla Road was recently widened to 4 lanes but they never took off the 30mph speed limit that was in place for construction. This road should be 45-50mph. The only reason why they never removed the speed limit when construction was finished was so that the city can raise speeding ticken revenue.

SR 434

If you speed on this road between Oviedo (where its 2 lanes) and up until you get into the more populated area, you will be ticketed. They particularly enjoy sitting in the median on top of the bridge or sitting off about 200 feet from the road around a wide turn. I have also noticed recently they began to sit in the turn lanes in the middle of the road with their turn signals on, but they don’t turn; they are actually clocking people as they go past. Also, late at night on this road they will sit in the median of the bridge and wait for someone to go past, then they come after you and get about one foot from your back bumper and turn on their brights. They will continue to do this for a few miles trying to make you do something they can pull you over for. BEWARE OF THIS TACTIC! When they do this slow down. Whenever you go through the city of Winter Springs and you see a cop SLOW DOWN. This city has no crime whatsoever yet they have a rather large police force with a turbocharged 2000 VW Beetle and a Mustang 5.0, along with other suped up cars. The only thing this police force does is pull people over for various speeding offenses.
