Abbeville, Georgia Speed Traps

They got me on that stretch just west of East Hall Road. Basically looking for high school students;I got nailed about 2:30 in the afternoon.

Laurens County is bad on I-16. Make sure you do the speed limit exactly. My mom & husband were pulled over by the same officer a month apart. Each ticket was over $300.

I received a ticket on North Rd. from a motorcycle cop sitting off to the side practically on someone’s private property. He was 2 blocks up from the post office. The speed limit is 30 or 35 and I was doing 42. I have since seen police posted along North Rd. on several occasions. Be warned!

It’s posted 35 mph but it is easy to find yourself doing over 45 because it is straight and the water resevoir diverts your attention. They also like to sit in the shadows from the trees down at the apartments closer to Winters Chapel.

Be sure to watch your speed on Memorial Drive. This area is watched regularly.
