Abbeville, Georgia Speed Traps

Be careful along this stretch of road; it can be dangerous, and it is also heavily patrolled.

Do the speed limit on this road, especially on the stretch between Cobb Place and Chastain Road, I got pulled over by STEP recently headed towards Barrett Parkway.

County Line between Holbrook Campground Rd (not sure if name changes to Birmingham at the 4 way stop or not) heading towards HWY 20, the speed limit is 30MPH not 35MPH. I have passed cops (both in cars and on Motorcycles) every time of day, even seen cars pulled over @ 6:30AM. I am pretty sure this section of road is patrolled by Cherokee County, not Forsyth (hence County Line). If your car will allow you to set you cruise @ 30MPH do it!

When they work this road it like shooting fish in a barrel. Two motorcycle cops will stand on side on road and wave motorist in. Have seen three pulled over at once. Long straight road from Paulding line crossing into Cobb. When they zap you with radar you have been in Cobb for about 2 seconds. This road just passes through tip of Cobb between Paulding & Douglas. Pure revenue stops.

Be careful driving on I-20 through Rockdale County toward Atlanta. They will hide under the bridges and set up radar traps. One of them is after the Home Depot shopping center. It’s one of the few places in GA where county cops patrol the interstate.
