Going north and south on Ga 400 especially going South when you leave the Forsyth County line there seems to be an on going speed trap. Alpharetta police vehicle sit in a navy expedition just waiting for you. It the same going North. They just love handing those tickets out.

Alpharetta police have set up speed trap scams where one cop will pull over a speeder and then next cope up the road watches and pulls over the next car past for not pulling in to the left lane for an “emergency vehicle”. Apparently that is now a ticketable offense for revenue enhancement in GA. Slowing down isn’t good enough. Doesn’t apparently matter that 1,000 cars blew by me in the far right lane while I sat there getting a ticket for doing the same thing. Doesn’t matter that I was driving under the speedlimit and slowed down when I noticed the trap and the cop writing a ticket. Doesn’t matter that it would have been dangerous to try to dive into the left hand lane suddenly to avoid driving past. Doesn’t matter about the car right in front of me that did the same thing I did. Extremely selective enforcement.

They are present daily anywhere along this entire road. The speed limit is 35 mph. There are also two speed detecting radar signs on this road that measure and display your speed.

The speed limit on this 4 lane road is 35 mph as you go under highway 400. The cop was sitting under the highway. He claims I was going 50 but wouldn’t show me the reading so I think he increased my speed to 50 so I’d be in the 15 mph over price range, so just beware of that. the side streets in this area have a speed limit of 40, very misleading that a bigger street has a slower speed limit. so this is definitely a way to make money so they will be out.
