morris Road near webb Road

Alpharetta, GeorgiaApr 29, 20040 Comments

the cops like to sit at the intersecion of webb rd and morris rd and watch for people that come flying up to the stop sign and chatch them just as they come over the hill. the way they park looks like they are just normal cars and you know there cops until your right there.

Old Alabama Connector Road

Alpharetta, GeorgiaFeb 04, 20040 Comments

On Old Alabama connector, at the bottom of the long hill near where the two new business areas are, I have noted Police vehicles set-up to trap in both directions. They stay hidden in the driveway on the east side and in the turnoff on the west side, as close towards Mansell Road as it allows. From both these positions, it’s easy to drive right past heading uphill for Old Alabama and not even notice them. That’s a long almost 1 mile stretch that’s bery tempting to go over the 45 mph posted limit. And in the other direction, they can get you as soon as you crest the hill, and they’d be so far away that even with your highbeams on, you won’t see them until it’s too late unless someone else is further ahead and their headlights light up the reflectors on the side of the dark blue with even darker blue decals Dodge Intrepids which are perfect for night time speed trapping.

Brumbelow Road

Alpharetta, GeorgiaNov 06, 20030 Comments

County car sat in front entrance to development just awaiting "speeders". Saw him there again the next day, same spot. Blind for those heading southbound on Brumbelow – visible to those heading northbound.
Very courteous officer.

Haynes Bridge Rd. and Woodhaven Way

Alpharetta, GeorgiaNov 02, 20030 Comments

I was on my way to work, running a little late as usual, at a local restaurant on Haynes Bridge. I was clocked doing 60 in a 45! The cop was nestled in Woodhaven Way, directly across the street from Rainwater Rest and Rainwater Dr. This was @ 10a.m. I may have been doing 50 or 55, but there was no way I was doing 60. I was pulled over b/c I drive a flashy red convertible, I know. And b/c I’m a female. The cop didn’t even give me a break, he could tell I was clearly upset but did not seem to care. I think he was a rookie! Anyway my court date is set for Jan 2004 and I am contesting it. This is my 2nd speeding ticket in this town in less than 2 years, so it’s costing me $247.00! Be careful.
