I85 northbound near airport and north of Virginia ave

Atlanta, GeorgiaNov 09, 20130 Comments

City of Hapeville are running a trap. 3 cop cars with lights going in emergency lane, well off to side. They ticket you when you drive past them in right lane for failure to move all the way to left lane, under the emergency vehicle law, even tho there is no emergency whatsoever that the 3 cars are stopped for. Right after exit only northbound for Virginia ave you are trying to get over and not exit if you’re unaware of the exit only lane and boom! there are the cops right after bridge.

hwy 78 -in the area of 285 interchange – either direction

traveling west on 78 for example — as one gets about 1 mile from 285 interchange, the speed limit reduces from 65 to 55. The cops wait here and catch drivers in the transition of speed; drivers can easily miss a speed sign — a truck could block the sign from view or road distraction. Almost all the cars are traveling at 70 miles per hour or more; the cops simply pick a car to give the ticket. It is a speed trap. It is very disgusting. I see the cops have been doing at this spot for years. It is a certain revenue stream for them and much easier than catching car thieves.

I-75 South ramp to North Ave.

Atlanta, GeorgiaAug 21, 20130 Comments

Georgia Tech campus police stake out light at top of ramp on North Ave. to nab people they claim are going through red light. Contested ticket in court and won, and there were several others ahead of me nabbed by the same cop. If not a speed trap, why are campus cops operating off campus? (GA law allows 500 yards from jurisdiction)

I-75N at Northside Drive NW

Atlanta, GeorgiaMay 13, 20130 Comments

Georgia State car is usually sitting at +33° 48′ 11.15", -84° 24′ 28.70". This position is above the main road and left hand side. There is an exit from Northside Drive NW that merges into the HOV lane. You cannot see the vehicle until you are past the Northside Drive NW intersection, and then he is in your 7 o-clock and sitting atop the hill. Using a Pro Laser 3.
