A Richmond County Sheriff will sit to the right just off of Walton Way Ext. between the I-20 overpass and Davis Rd. and nail folks speeding across the overpass. It is posted 35 mph, but the road is 4 lanes wide, and folks typically cross doing 15-20 mph over.
Bobby Jones Expressway near Deans Bridge Road
Cops almost always sits in the median on Bobby Jones Expressway (I-520, east and westbound, with lights off, at Deans Bridge Road exit before center wall.
Lumpkin Road near Deans Bridge Road
As you come over the hill heading toward Deans Bridge a sheriff will sit in the parking lot of the Church to the right that can’t be seen due to the hill, the curve, and a sparse stand of trees until it is too late. Traffic routinely travels 55-60 mph in this 45 mph zone.
Pleasant Home Road near Crane Ferry Road
Motorcycle Officers will sit at the bottom of the hill just around the corner east of Crane Ferry Road and out of sight to oncoming traffic. You will be traveling east and down hill in a 35mph zone. This has become a popular bypass to Washington road during the heavy construction at the Bobby jones Expressway.
