State Route 441 Northbound entering Broxton from the south
This is a well-known trap talked about by locals. Heading north from Douglas, GA into Broxton, police (sometimes two cruisers so they don’t miss any income) sit in front of school as you enter town. There is no proper signage to warn you to slow to 25 mph. Immediately after entering “School Zone” the speed increases to 35 mph. By the time you hit your brakes traveling from 50 mph to 25 it is too late.
The actual school buildings set back away from highway on the left so you might not see them at first. Not sure why School Zone is enforced even when no school is in session.
