Sixes Road near Interstate 575

Canton, GeorgiaSep 25, 20060 Comments

Speed limit is 35MPH when a safe speed of 40+ is possible. Cops like to sit at the entrances of The Falls of Cherokee and the neighborhood across the street. They also like to sit at the CITGO near I-575 and across the street in the contruction area. They hide very well and there is no chance of getting out of those tickets.

The police target only the neighborhoods off this street. It has an unrealistic 30MPH where there are no houses directly on this street. The hang out at the tops of hills sometimes in twos. There even been Check Points on this street and it’s not even a main road.

Bells Ferry Road near State Highway 5/Marietta Highway

Canton, GeorgiaMay 02, 20050 Comments

When travelling south on Bells Ferry Road just past GA Highway 5, the posted speed limit is 35 mph. The road is sloped downhill and trees block visiblity. City of Canton motorcycle officers will sit at the entrance of The Villas at Lake Norton at the top of the hill and clock you as you come down the hill. Without accelerating and just rolling down the hill, you can easily reach 45 mph to 55 mph before the motorcycle officers can be seen. You will be clocked before you see them and they step out in the road and wave you to the side at the top of the hill to present you with your speeding ticket. Minimum ticket is $150.
