High school – Middle school

Cedartown, GeorgiaDec 28, 20220 Comments

The cameras are operational from 7:20 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. When school zone sign lights are flashing (7:30 am. until 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. until 4 p.m.), drivers must decrease their speed by 10 miles per hour. Speeds in front of the middle school change from 60 mph to 50 mph when school zone sign lights are flashing. The speed limit at the front entrance of the high school (across from Northview Cemetery) is 45 miles per hour, no matter the time of day or day of the week.

From Cedartown Water Plant to City Limits, Cave Spring Street is nothing but a speed trap! Street is residential with 35mph speed limit. Cedartown PD will write a ticket at 36mph!
On Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown PD sits up at North View Cemetery (across from High School) and just past same location where new by-pass crosses road.
On Rome Hwy. GSP officers sit in post parking lot and clock cars as well as set up past the Walmart Super Center.
