College Park, Georgia Speed Traps

When going North on I-85 heading towrd downtown Atlanta (coming from Peachtree City, Union City, Flat Shoals Rd, etc), there’s a Georgia State Patrol/College Park Police Implala under almost every overpass late at night. Key: Slow down when there’s an upcoming overpass above and when it’s behind you head on your way!

College Park has started working the section of I-285 within it’s jurisdiction fairly regularly. I see cars out near the airport construction zone on a daily basis. Usually between one and two cars in the afternoons. I can drive this section at 75 although it is 55 and they don’t seem to blink, but they will get those that are flying past me.

In very early morning College Park PD lay in wait on right hand side of the road. Mostly 85 North Bound traffic between 85 and Virginia Avenue. Once traffic starts getting heavy, they leave.

Black city car, SUV or P/U Truck sits in emergency lane with 4 way flashers on. There is no markings on the rear only side doors. Officer stands next to car and aims laser gun across the roof. I have seen as many as 4 cars at a time.
