Columbus, Georgia Speed Traps
State Highway veterans parkway near veterans parkway Parkway
Veterans parkway has always been a street racers hangout with red lights so close on a divided four and six lane highway. A new black Dodge Charger complete with limo tint and rear spoiler is now trying to bait people into racing. Had I not been in a tall truck where I could see down into the windshield to see the light bar he might have got me. Racing a four door car is usually beneath me unless provoked.I hope your comrades are as understanding as I am the next time I bolt off the line(without breaking traction of course). You got to have a sense of humor about these things. It would have been a great episode of cops to see some moron racing the police. Next time use a Mustang, it would have been just another of countless Fords that have went down. Veterans Parkway near 18th Street
Veterans is a 6 lane road with a speed limit of 45 mph. Going south it becomes a 30 mph limit at 18th st at a bridge going up and over a train track. The 30 mph limit sign is a third of the size of other signs used posting the previous 45mph limit.
Armour Road near Manchester Expressway
Between Manchester and Warm Springs Rd There is always a motorcycle patrol waiting under a tree in the strip mall on the right if heading North. I’ve seen many people pulled over. The speed limit is 35 mph because of the Hospital located on the corner.
