Highway 280 Mile Marker 14
Was traveling down this 4-lane divided highway ASSUMING it was a 65mph zone..as it was in the middle of nowhere and had not seen a speed limit sign for MANY miles. Had my cruise set at 70 (keeping it within 5) Chattahoochee County Sheriff was coming at me, turned around and pulled me. The guy was probably 5’6..weighed 140 max…and was about 21 years old…looked ridiculous sitting in that big Crown Vic. I explained to him I honestly thought it was a 65 zone, he simply asked me to "sign here." Did some research, Chattahoochee County is the number two county in Georgia on the list of counties who recieve the highest percentages of revenues from speeding fines..what a joke! Ticket was $112

entering into Cusetta west, marked cars hidden in off roads as well as on side of highways just over hills and at bottoms of hills. Highway markers 14 begins the hidden cars, too late once you are coming down steep hills they have you. not uncommon to see two or more passanger cars stopped in both directions. Tickets average $85.00 Have actually seen officers by pass stranded motorists and continue to pursue catching suspected speeders. one knows where their paycheck comes from.
from highway marker 14 coming into cusetta or leaving cusetta, they are at both ends highway
law inforcement cars always park at bottem of hills, it is too late as you are coming down high hills and would probably breask the 55 limit if you shifted into neutral
