anywhere on I-20 westbound in Douglas County

Douglasville, GeorgiaJun 15, 20100 Comments

Keep in mind that speed is not the only reason for which people are stopped. Oh yes, the area is highly patrolled. However, while you are trying to avoid the “traps”, think about the DUI driver you might see pulled over, or the semi with a load of guns, drugs or money (from the sale of peviously mentioned) or the armed robbery or burglary suspect in a lookout vehicle( robbers and burglars don’t drive conestogas on I-20). I-20 w/b is clearly marked at 65 mph until almost Post Rd(exit 30) and then goes to 70 mph, again it’s clearly marked. Drive Safely.

Be careful along this stretch of road; it is regularly patrolled, and officers watch from various locations.

Douglas Boulevard near Chapel Hill Road Road

Douglasville, GeorgiaApr 29, 20080 Comments

Motorcycle Cops sit on the side of Douglas Boulevard with radar guns and can clock you from the time you turn off of Chapel Hill Road onto Douglas Boulevard a distance of appx a half mile. Douglas Boulevard is a wide four lane boulevard with turning lanes and red lights that runs in front of Arbor Place Mall and folks think the speed limit is higher than 45 and away they go. Douglasville is making a mint off of this trap if the number of cars I see stopped here by the cops is any indication.

US Highway 78 Bankhead Hwy near Post Road

They really like the dark however they have been here during the day too. Leaving Douglasville toward Villa Rica on Bankhead Hwy/Hwy 78 there are 2 little white buildings on the right. I believe it is right after where Post Road enters. One is a church the other is run down. Police like to sit there in The dark with no lights on, the only thing I saw was the flash of red light. speed limit is 45 but so easy to fly on this stretch of road.
