Brite Star road between I-20 and US-78

This is a tricky trap. It’s an all-day school zone with a break in the middle about 50 yards long where the speed limit is 45 again. There are all sorts of places the police can hide from 7AM till 4PM. Literally an all day school zone, but the gap between the 2 schools creates a perfect trap. My hat is off to Douglasville for creating this perfectly engineered money trap!!

I-20 West between Douglassville and Villa Rica

Douglasville police cruiser sits in between the west and eastbound I-20 traffic. As you exit Douglasville city limits…beware (especially Black men)! Speed limit is 65 and traffic generally does between 65 and 75. I was driving between 65 and 68 through my exodus out of Douglasville. Lotts of traffic driving faster than me, however, cop pulled me over going the speed limit. He came with up the BS assertion that i was suspected of DUI. He said that eventhough the speed limit is 65, people normally do 70! …and he lied and said that i crossed the center divider (what a classic one!). I was in the slow lane for miles and going the speed limit! There was a uhaul going the same speed behind me for miles that didnt get pulled over. He let me go all appologetic and what not. This is the 21st century and shame on you Douglasville PD.

Douglas Parkway, the entire stretch.

What a great road this would have been to speed down! The cops have a perfect place to hide now with the mall and the shopping centers in place. They are not necessarily unfair with their pull overs, but you really need to watch your speed on this road. I believe it’s 45 mph, and it’s built kind of like a freeway. Very easy to get going to fast and get a very expensive ticket.

Saw a bike cop and unmarker cruiser checking northbound traffic next to the pep boys. I was so close I could read LASER on the gun the bike cop was using.

Rose Ave and Hwy 5

As you turn on Rose Ave. off Hyw 5 a motorcycle cop on Harley sits back off the road at the house on the left just after you pass Walmart. I now hear that this is a favorite place for the local law inforcement to catch motorist as they are turning off Hwy 5. So be careful and really slow down. This is close to the new mall in Douglasville.
