State Highway Buford near Howell Street

Duluth, GeorgiaOct 16, 20080 Comments

Motorists are going down hill at what they think is 45mph, but as you continued down the hill, the speed limit changes to 35mph. The Duluth PD sits toward the right in a shopping plaza and he will bust you. BE WARNED!

Pleasant Hill Road near Buford to Ptree Indl Road

Most of Duluth is a speed trap. Avoid businesses in Duluth – resturant / stores, so that they can then pressure police and self-entrenched Duluth bureacracy who feed the people passing thru or visiting.

Any Street

The city seems to fill its coffers with a big money maker "a la traffic" pull-overs. The police may (or may not) be seen almost anywhere. They frequently hide in driveways just out of view until too late. They are known to have evening "stops" just to check for insurance/registration, and maybe your breath. Be EXTRA careful when transiting this area. Their tickets are pricey.

Pleasant Hill Road Road near Buford Highway Overpass Road

Duluth, GeorgiaAug 29, 20081 Comments

Now that the Overpass has ben completed on Pleasant Hill Road, you can go through that area much easier. Because Duluth has Dark(Black) police cars they hide under these overpasses in the dark hours. The speed limit is 45 MPH, but now that the problem of the intersection of Buford Highway and the Railroad tracks are gone, you may have the attempt to go faster then 45. They are they waiting on you. Mine was 61 in a 45 zone.

Sugarloaf Parkway near Old Peachtree Road

Duluth, GeorgiaJun 10, 20080 Comments

West of Old Peachtree enroute to Meadow Church (Kroger shopping center) police sit in the driveway of the office park on the right. It is a 45 MPH zone but is downhill and easy to pick up speed to 50-55 MPH. Every day between 4-6 PM.
