Pleasant Hill Road near US Highway 23 Buford Hwy

Much like another post on this site, this is not necessarily a "speed"-trap, but I wanted to warn my fellow motorists.
When traveling east on Pleasant Hill Road, before you reach Buford Highway there are railroad tracks. The problem is that the traffic backs up for miles during the afternoon rush hour(s) and there are two seperate sets of tracks. So while you may wait to make sure you can clear the FIRST set of tracks before proceeding…. there is a second unexpected set of tracks that cars often get stuck on. This happened to me and there were SIX Duluth officers waiting with digital cameras to catch anyone who got stopped in traffic with even one wheel on those tracks. This ticket was $180!

Two Officers. One for clocking you and one for pulling you over. Be aware

Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near Southbound traffic, just North of Kroger Shopping Center

South bound traffic on PIBlvd headed from GA 120 down to Plesant Hill, watch out. There is a condomium complex on the west (left) side of the road and the cops assigned to traffic sit there with radar and write tickets a LOT. Again, this is South bound on PIBlvd just before you get to the Kroger shopping center.
Another place is for North bound traffic, about 1/2 mile north of Pleasant Hill right across from the multi story Senior citizen condo complex there at River Green. The cops sit on the East side of the road where that string of retail shops are (Firestone, Bogey’s, etc).
Duluth is pretty bad on a lot of this traffic stuff. Be really careful!

This is a short road, but an Elementary school and daycare both are on it. The speed limit is 30 but 25 during school hours. I have been traveling this road for years as I use the daycare, and have received two speeding tickets. One was for going 32 miles/hr. in the school zone. The cop just walked into the road and stopped me. But they are always sitting there, you must be careful any time of day. They pull people over constantly.

I put the level of enforcement at "some" as the others don’t really apply to what I am talking about. This area is patrolled at all times of day, but especially in the evening. My adult son has told me that the patrolling in this area at that time is so "intense" it has been given a name called "running the gauntlet", so be on your p’s and q’s driving thru this area at that time.
