Lawrenceville Suwanne Road near Old Norcross Road

Lawrenceville, GeorgiaDec 30, 20030 Comments

Two motorcycle cops sit at the light on Lawrenceville Suwanne road right before Old Norcross. They scan the traffic comming from hwy 29. One scans laser and the other points you to the side of the road. They dont even have to chase you down.

Grayson Hwy by the old police department, by S.Clayton St.

the speed trap that got me was on grayson hwy just passing by the old police depatment. the speed limit changes from 45 to 35 and then 25 within less than a mile. well the cop was parked with his completely off right behind the 25 sign which just so happends to be right over a hill. he got me going 49 in a 25. yeah i was going 45 but in the 35 zone. i had slowed to less than 30 when i saw both the sign and the cop. he was parked in a auto parts parking lot. by the way, im not sure but isnt it illegal for the cop to be sitting there catching people with no lights on and to pull out into the road without yet turning his lights on. and yes i am talking about headlights, considering it is about 11pm. i mean with him being right over the peek of a hill, couldnt someone hit him not being able to see his car.

Park Place right past Ingles and Texico

this is my second post and i think alot of the locals are really pissed about this trap. its on Park Place past Meditterranean Lane (where i live) and its always 2 bike cops both with radar/laser guns sitting over a big hill in the road. the speed limit is 25 on a relitively straight road, and i dont hardly know anyway who ever goes 35 much less 25 on that road. you would not believe how many senior citizens i see getting ticketed by those guys. its like every other day.

85 North at Old Peachtree Street

This is a good sting operation point. They park several cars on the NB on-ramp (hidden from oncoming traffic) and one officer will trap while the others wait in their cars to tag the offenders. I have seen this sting mostly on weekend mornings before noon.

I-85 Northbound at 316 split

Lawrenceville, GeorgiaFeb 15, 20030 Comments

The men in blue will sit right behind the overpass of the southbound 316 traffic. It is impossible to see them as you fly up 85. Just as you go under the overpass in the far left lanes going alittle over, you see them off to your right jsut waiting to pull out to stop you. Cheap shot if you ask me.
