Interstate 75 near Interstate 285
As you are entering I-75, north bound, from I-285 West bound, there is an area of heavy folage between the entrance ramp from I-75, and I-285 proper. The folage provdes excellent cover for LEO’s, lurking for motorist north bound on I-75. The entrance LEO’s use to get in there is well-hidden from traffic, and once in there, the LEO vehicle is only visable briefly, and only via your rear view mirror.
Evasion of this trap is difficult, and only possible if you "make" the LEO before or as he pulls onto I-75, but may be possible if you stay in the far right-hand lane and take the very next exit- Windy Hill. Stay right and try to enter the first or second hotel parking lot, and thus blend in with vehicles parked there. The next exit is over two miles away, and thus not likely to be close enough to provide cover- unless you are truly flying and have totally outpaced him.
Interstate 75
4th of July Weekend 2006. The city police department is pulling over as many cars as possible. From where I was pulled over, there were 2 more police cars with lights on in my vision, and that is just south bound. I observed more city police on the north bound side as well.
