Marietta, Georgia Speed Traps
Tower Road near Church Street
The Cobb County/Marietta police have set up a speed zone on Tower Road close to the overpass for the railroad. This is west of the intersection of Tower Road and Church Street. The speed limit is 30mph, but the speed zone is located at the bottom of a steep incline. During the week long period that they had the machine to digitally show your speed, I have seen no one at or below the speed limit and that’s not say ANY of them were driving recklessly. So I recommend riding on your brakes.
Canton Highway
School Zone near Blackwell Elementary School, 3-4 people get pulled over at a time. Its very very hard to see the school zone sign. 2 cops, unmarked car, and camaro
Old Hamilton Road near State Highway 120 – Dallas
Traveling towards Due West Road, there is a motorcycle cop who sits (usually in a driveway) on the right hand side in the vicinity of Oregan Park. He tags motorists as they come down the big hill towards the entrance to the park. It’s an easy place to be caught because after turning off of Dallas Hwy and topping the hill, you can easily be doing 50 mph going down it before you even realize how fast you’re really going. This a busy little road with Oregan Park being a popular baseball park and Cobb County is making a killing off this trap!
Johnson Ferry Road near Roswell Road
During the school zone hours there is between 1-4 police officers waiting just around a turn where you can’t see them until its too late, they walk out in the middle of the road, stop traffic, and have all cars that were speeding pull into the parking lot to get tickets, this is going towards the rowswell intersection
