Richland, Georgia Speed Traps
Hwy 520
Patrol cars on both the south and north bound entrances to Richland.
Ga Hwy 520
On my way to Columbus from Albany, I came across a speed limit sign that said 65 mph. Maybe not even two minutes later, I was pulled over by an officer in a black charger sitting on the top side of a hill. By the time I reached the police officer I was going 60 mph but the officer clocked me at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. This was like getting a ticket in the middle of the desert…this was my first ticket in life. I live in North Carolina and was here visiting my mother. I travel a lot and have driven thousands of miles, this was definitely a….speed trap.
By pass
I got a ticket for 56 mph in a 55 mph zone, officer said that I was driving too fast for conditions because it rained earlier in the day. Officer also called me “boy” about 5 times. Richland is the only place I know of where the word “boy” is pronounced with about 5 syllables.
