Rincon, Georgia Speed Traps

Speed trap behind Walmart in Rincon. The posted speed is 25 all the way to highway 21. The rincon police sit in the curve off the road. I know many people who have been ticketed on this road.

Rincon police wait just over the railroad tracks on hwy 21 headed north towards Springfield where they are ticketing pedestrians right before the speed changes to 55.

Half of this road is new–newly paved and open. The ‘new’ section of the road is smooth, so it’s easy to speed! There are ample places to pass slow-moving cars. The speed limit is only 45. Cops sit on the side of the road between ‘dirt piles’ on the side of the road. I call this "ticket road." I got popped doing 65 in a 45! Be careful!

Be careful leaving Rincon north, or coming into Rincon from the North on highway 21. As you are coming into Rincon the speed limit drops from 45 to 35 as you hit the overpass. If you aren’t careful, you’ll be coming into town too fast and bingo, you may meet the police. I was caught once upon a time coming home from college, and didn’t see the speed limit drop or the GSP behind me……Good luck
