Ringgold, Georgia Speed Traps
I-75 North and South between Ringgold and TN State line.
Catoosa County Sherriff’s Dept regularly has speed traps set on I-75 North in the am and I-75 South in the pm. Patrol cars are often pulled off in the median on a downgrade to target speeders in the left lane. Clearly a concerted revenue generation program at the expense of North GA to TN commuters.
Interstate 75 near US Highway 2A
County Sheriff Deputy will often sit just at the top of the hill in the inside shoulder at an overpass on the interstate with his Lidar/Radar gun pointed at oncoming traffic. They also like to sit on the on the inside median a mile or so down the road, at the bottom of a hill, coming out of a curve so you can’t see them until you’re *right* on top of them.
Poplar Springs Road
Cop parks in Poplar Springs Baptist Church you can’t see them if you are heading towards town. The road is easy to pick up speed on without realizing it, they get you right after coming off a hill. They will also get you at this stop for not wearing a seat belt or having your stero to loud.
