Rockaway Road near US Highway 74 East

Senoia, GeorgiaFeb 23, 20080 Comments

Senoia city police sits in the entrance to the Morningside subdivision, hidden from view by the subdivision sign as you head north from Senoia. There’s a curve which obstructs the driver’s view (and a descent which accelerates your speed) as you head south from Peachtree City INTO Senoia. He sits right at the city limit, so as to fine you for the city fines, not county.

State Highway 16 near Pylant Street

Senoia, GeorgiaJan 23, 20080 Comments

Travelling toward Senoia on Highway 16, BE CAREFUL about 2 miles into getting into Senoia. From Pylant Road all the way through the small town of Senoia. There are Police CONSTANTLY either sitting there at Pylant and 16, or just down the hill as you enter Senoia. The speed limit goes from 55, 45, 35, 25 in a matter of 1 mile. As you enter town, a speed limit sign reads 25mph just before you get to Crooks Marketplace. Frequently they will be sitting there at an old Garage, will tag you and write you a ticket using the 25mph limit. I got out of a ticket, because the sign is less than 100 feet from where they cite you for a 25mph zone. Be careful all through Senoia. It will take you about 5 minutes to get through the tiny Town, but Police sit and watch for rolling stops, speed traps abound, and road blocks are common.
