Be extra carefull whenever driving through Any part of Snellville, because Snellville PD is Always on the hunt. They don’t have much to do so they sit on Hwy 124, Hwy 78, and Lenora Church Rd waiting to pounce on unsuspecting motorist driving above 45mph. Its never just one cop its usually several in cars and motorcycles.

The Snellville police fund the majority of their budget from this one road. Their favorite place to sit is between Briscoe Park and the Snellville Bypass. I am on this section of road frequently each week and I see a police car with radar or laser at least 80% of the time. Usually the are pulling someone over. The speed limit is 45mph and this is a 4 lane road. It is very easy to go 55mph and they will get your for that. It is only a few mile stretch so I just follow the speed limit.

Ronald Reagan Parkway at city limits

Snellville, GeorgiaJun 01, 20010 Comments

Ronald Reagan Parkway is a speed trap on its entire length with unrealistically low speed limit of 50 on a limited access highway. It even has cloverleaf interchanges. At the Snellville city limit the speed limit changes to 45 with notification further down the road. Police sit in median behind bushes. Both speed limits exist for no other purpose than revenue generation. Speed limit is heavily enforced.Try doing 45 on an Interstate highway sometime just to see how it feels. (Incidently, I have not recieved a ticket myself. Only because of blind luck)
