I had my cruise control set at 75 in a 70 mph zone. I was stopped and ticketed for doing 92. My GPS confirmed that I hadn’t been doing this fast. I contacted a lawyer to get this reduced and was told this is a common practice. Very sad with the lack of integrity of the Treutlen County Sheriff’s office. Drivers beware

I had my cruise control set at 75 in a 70 mph zone. Was pulled over and ticketed for 92mph. My GPS confirmed that I had not been going that fast. Really sad that the Treutlen County Sheriff’s would stoop to such lows to generate revenue. They bank that you will just pay it and not go to court.

The cop sits in the median facing traffic going toward Macon/Atlanta (before exit 67 as the road goes downhill).

county cops sit in dark median. Problem is with the excessive fines. 20 miles over posted limit is $395, but only in a 70 zone. interstate is only 70 in county, you can be doing 90 in a 55 zone on a back road and the fine is less. all they are doing is making money of travelers, who can not return to court. I was caught and my speed was set on 83 and was told radar showed 90. I- 16 is famous for being a speed trap in GA
