Woodstock, GeorgiaFeb 19, 20080 Comments

This is Cobb County PD stopping traffic just before you cross into Woodstock. They use a car posted at the liquor store and/or motorcycle units on the street after the store. The speed limit is 45 mph and they set up at the bottom of a long hill. The motorcycle police will walk out into traffic to point out which car they want and have the car pull onto the next street to the right.

Main Street near Arnold Mill Road

Woodstock, GeorgiaOct 10, 20070 Comments

I can’t believe that no one has identified Main Street before now! Ever since Woodstock lowered the speed limit to 25 MPH, they’ve been issuing tickets right and leFort The stretch with the 25 MPH limit is atleast 2 miles long and it’s almost impossible to keep your speed that low on a relatively straight, flat, 2-lane highway.

Victoria Road near Bells Ferry Road

Woodstock, GeorgiaSep 27, 20070 Comments

On Victoria Road there are 2 types of enforcment by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Dept. One is early am with 2 or more cars, so that one car can be used as a chase car. They will set up and catch drivers on their way to work. Victoria Road has a hill just before you reach Bells Ferry Road that will cause you to exceed the 30 mph speed limit.
The second method is used mostly during the day. It utilizes a motorcycle deputy that will hide on a side road and clock motorists going up or down the same hill. The posted speed limit is 30 mph most people are stopped at less than 40 mph. This road is heavily traveled due to access to a Lake Allatoona boat ramp.
