Mililani, Hawaii Speed Traps
H2 Freeway [south] between Mililani exits & Waipio exits
When leaving Wahiawa going toward Mililani on Kam Highway there is often a speed trap at the bottom of the hill at Waikalani Drive. The speed limit is only 35 mph. The police car is not visible from the road because it hidden behind the bus stop. Normally the speed trap operates after 9 PM, but once or twice a month the cops come out as early as 7 PM.
After you pass Walmart, you go downhill. If you start at the correct speed and not touch any pedals, you can end up going 15-20 miles faster. The police are waiting right at the curve near the bottom of the hill (by Nob Hill).
(H-2 town bound)
Going townbound, they are on the onramp coming from Mililani Tech Park/Leilehua golf course and sit there tagging cars coming from Schofield barracks/Wahiawa area, they are there often from morning, afternoon and night, solo bikes and marked cars. They also sit on the stretch right after the onramp as well.
Also be cautious on the stretch towards Waipio about 2-3 miles before the Ka Uka onramp, they sit on that strecth and coming from town they like to sit on the Ka Uka bridge and right past there at night!
Usually two or three motorcylcle officers next to the on ramp from the Meheula Parkway headed North on H2.
They are there often in the evening and some days.
