Between mile 1 and 2 on route 57 going north

Priest River, IdahoSep 16, 20120 Comments

As you have left the town of Priest River, past mile 1 post there’s a 45 mph sign soon after which there’s a sign denoting the distances to the three next towns. At that point you are already driving through a forest, the town far behind you, and thinking you are back on the open road, but the 60 mph sign is still about a mile ahead. That’s where they get you. Day and night. Clever, and a clear entrapment.

State Highway 57 near State Highway 2

They have 3 Troopers in Chevy Tahoes. As you are coming from Priest Lake on Hwy 57, they drive back and forth between the start of the town & Hwy 2. It is not very apparent when it drops to 35. It happens just as you are coming over a rise, it catches you off gaurd, but they have already banged you with the radar. I was nice but upset, and the guy said "You are my 8th today, and I just came on shift". Nice guy, but I am still pissed.
