Barrington, Illinois Speed Traps

Northwest of Dundee Road, there is a small hill on either side of the Markay Country Club entrance that blocks the view of the entrance into to the club from people driving past it on Nothrwest Highway. The speed limit was 50, but it was lowered to 45 for some reason. The country club is the only entrance for a mile stretch from Hillside Avennue to just before Ela Road. Most people go 50 to 60 on this portion of Northwest Highway.

Across from the school about 3/4 mile east of 59. Very hard to see police car in field on south side of rd.

(Dundee Road – Rt. 68)

They are usually sitting in the bushes across the street from the school. I’ve seen them in tha morning and at night so be careful…

Barrington/Inverness police sit eastbound on Wood St. just west of Ela and time traffic in both directions. Wood St.is approx. 1/8th of a mile and the second street north of Palatine Rd. on Ela near the crest of a hill.

They will usually set up on the east side of Barrington and get you when you are coming north bound from Dundee….they are over by Motorwerks at the bottom of the hill…it’s too dark to see them so be careful.
