Beecher, Illinois Speed Traps
cops sit on south side of street about 1 mile off of route 1.
A Beecher town officer waits in a driveway in the 45 zone. He measures the speed of an approaching car while the car is still in the 55 zone. He then stops the car and applies the speed measured in the 55 zone to the 45 zone. Of course, he claims that the speed was measured in the 45 zone.
A will county Sherrif sits in a factory service drive hidden to east bound motorists. The car cannot be seen until it is to late.
Sits anywhere on Route 1, West of Church Rd. North of Racine & Indiana Av and East of Indian Av. at Radio Shack
They ticket anyone, mostly black, and young, they look for anything tail lights, headlights, weaving, certain color cars, and speeders. be aware you will mostly be pulled over in this town.
They are many place where they can clock you unsuspectantly, both ends of town and various places of business. There is 2 car lots in town, they hang in there like a car for sale. Watch your turn signals also. To be safe I always drive 5 MPH under when coming into town.
