Buffalo Grove, Illinois Speed Traps

Thompson is a very rural street and the speed limit is 25. anything more then 8-9 over and u risk getting pulled over. speed limit can easily and safely be 35 (especially when there aren’t a lot of people around). i got a ticket going 36. they enforce the stop sign on thompson and brandywyne very religiosly. the risk is usually more often in the morning or mid to late afternoon.

the cop usually waits on knight hill or other spots and will pull u over for going 10 over. the posted limit is 25 and radar detectors dont do anything. the cop that patrols the area is very good at catching people with detectors. the safe limit can easily be 30 in the residential part, and easily be 35 as u get closer to arlington heights road and into less populated areas of the street.

Sits behind church of northbound traffic, out of northbound traffic’s view. Usually will ticket for 45 and over. Speed limit is marked at 40 mph and buffalo grove will ticket for 5 mph and over.
