This area is patrolled by both Candlewick Lake security and Boone County sheriffs. Once you enter the security gate on Route 76, watch your speed. The speed limit in all of Candlewick Lake is 25 MPH. They will stop you for anything over the speed limit and write tickets. Make sure you make complete stops at the stop signs also. They generate a huge amount of revenue each month on speeders and people not coming to complete stops.
