Collinsville, Illinois Speed Traps

Towards St. Louis (westbound) on 55/70, slow down just after the 255 interchange, just past the Collinsiville exit. There is an overpass (Black Lane Road) that State Police line up on and clock cars from above, almost always LASER. There is one exit for an approximate 10-15 mile stretch of low to medium traffic 6-lane highway, speeding poses little threat. Police CANNOT be seen if heading westbound on 55/70. They then proceed to drive off the exit ramp and pull people over at points that cannot be seen from upcoming traffic.
