Squad sits on Barber Greene, East side of Somonauk by stop sign or on west side by airport.

New spot: approximately 1/4 mile south of Barber Greene Rd on Somonauk, Squad sits on west side of road. Concrete pad where the new subdivision is being built.

Town police station is south of 38 and Loves Rd intersection, so this couldn’t be any more convenient for them. Favorite with local cops for speed trap. They hide all over the place, I’ve spotted them hiding behind trees at a private residence, in a lumber yard parking lot, I’ve even seen them set up to shoot radar between the houses on an east west street at the train crossing! Speed limit is 35 mph for a half mile then drops to 25 mph for one house (residential) at train crossing. Natural speed most people want to drive is 45 mph. That’s what the speed limit is after you get past the train crossing going north on Loves Rd.

Cop sits off the North side of Rt. 38 facing west, His hiding spot is across from where a new subdivision is being built on the south side of 38.
