Deerfield, Illinois Speed Traps

North Bound from downtown (just past Hazel) Deerfield to Half Day Road, Deerfield PD will be parked in Deerfield HS parking lots. Also use sit off the road on side streets. South Bound is monitored mostly from the parking lot at Tony’s Sub/ Citco Station.

Cops often sit in the parking lot of the Christian Science church on Deerfield Road between waukegan rd and ridge rd. also, they often hide in the deerspring pool drive, which is just west of the church

A patrol car sits in the parking lot of the lake cook office center. He sits and watches cars in rush hour to make a mistake and will nail you. Speeding and illegal turns are his main inforcement.

Located east of Waukegan Rd and west of Ridge Rd. Police car sits tucked back in the Park District Pool entrance on the north side of the street to catch west bound traffic and in the Church parking lot on the south side to catch east bound traffic. Speed limit is set to 30, but traffic generally flows much faster. Also, speed limit is higher coming out of Highland Park, many don’t realize the speed limit drops.

When you’re traveling on Deerfield Road going in either direction, there is a cop sitting in the church parking lot. This is right by the Highland Park border. I have seen cops face both directions, but usually they are clocking eastbound traffic.
