there is a camera, if dont make complete stop while turning on Rand you will get a ticket for $100.00. I was on golf turning right on rand and I didnt make a complete stop and got a ticket.
Better to just wait till light turns green then turn.
Lee Street and Howard by the church
Seat belt inspections. Police are on all 4 corners cking..Have everyone in the car belted or the driver gets a ticket.
Algonquin Rd./SW Place
The Des Plaines police routinely sit at the intersection of SW Place & Algonquin Rd. during mornig and afternoon SCHOOL drop-off/pick up times, clocking motorists westbound on Algonquin Rd. I have seen an "assembly line" of 3 or 4 squads sitting in waiting – one clocks and pursues – then another squad moves up and repeats! Very impressive! Sadly there there have been been a number of kids run over and injured or killed in school zones in this neighborhood. So please watch your speed!
