Main St north of Ogden Ave becomes 30MPH for three blocks. There are residential homes at that point so the police make it point to write tickets there.I’m the Fed Ex guy in that area and I’ve seen it many times..
55th Street near Main Street
The Cops sit on the cross streets just west of Main and catch the speeders as they come down the "S" curve towards the light at Dunham.
71st Street near Dunham Road
Downers South gets out at 3:20 and that is when I have seen officers on 71st street in the neighborhood behind DGS. It’s a good thing they are there too because I have been passed by cars, in the neighborhood, doing well over 40mph. There are kids everywhere. Slow down through here, please!
Warren Avenue near Edward Hines Lumber
Police cars park in the rear drive of Edward Hines Lumber on Warren Avenue (Near Northcott Avenue). When heading west on Warren you often cannot see them until its too late.
