Shales Parkway near US Highway 19
The posted speed limt is 30 MPH but just coasting down this 8 percent grade hill will get you going to 45 before you hit the bottom – The cops regularly are at the bottom waiting either on one side of the street with the squad car being slightly hiden by a chain linked fence near the power lines or just parked inside the opening of almost invisible street of the residential complex at the bottom of the hill. I live in that complex and see the amount of tickets that get handed out so I always put my vehicles in a lower gear when going down either side of the hill. It’s rumored that the cops might allow you to coast doing 40 but I wouldn’t push it
Randall Road near State Route 20
Elgin has the cruisers parked on Winhaven Drive, small subdivision off Randall Road just North of Route 20. The cruiser sits in a small gravel area in the subdivision facing the North bound traffic.
They can be found there almost everyday between 8:30-9:30am.

Interstate I90 near State Route Between Rt25 & Rt 31
Usually AM Rush and Sunday Mornings going West bound on I-90. It is usually between Rt25 and Rt 31, but sometimes they start at 59 and use the unmarked on the top of the overpass calling down to many state troopers waiting. I usually see the aftermath with up to 8-9 people pulled over. I have not been able to figure out where they hide. Sometimes they don’t hide, you will just see up to 6 or 7 state troopers spread along the road.
State Route Rt31 near Mclean Street
The Police sit on the side of the road on Rt31 just west of Mclean. They are using radar on north bound traffic. Mostly in the morning hours. If you receive a ticket you can go into the police station and complain and 9 out of 10 tickets will be dropped.
