Essex, Illinois Speed Traps

The officer sits on the south side of a golf course entrance behind the sign. The speed limit switches from 55 to 40 just before you get to the sign. On the south side of town they hide in the storage facility and get you as you come out of town and start speeding up from 35.

For 5 miles south on Essex Rd the speed limit is 55 mph.. When approching town at Prairie Dr. the limit goes down to 35 mph.. They get alot of out of towners.
