Glenview, Illinois Speed Traps

Euclid Avenue from the Des Plaines River to Milwaukee Avenue used to be a four lane road with a limit of 45. They recently rebuilt the portion over the river and christened it with a 40 mph speed limit. The traffic flow regularly pushes eastward at 50+ in this portion, only to discover a newly-lowered 35 mph limit as soon as the wooded area ends. This is ridiculous, as the few houses that reside in the 35 mph zone are actually located on a separate frontage road. Smells like a revenue opportunity to me. Also, westbound traffic will encounter a much more substantial residential 35 mph zone as it crosses River Road into Mount Prospect.
