Granite City, Illinois Speed Traps

They sit in the St. Johns Church/Cemetery parking lot.

This street is one of the GCPD’s favorite and has been enforced for many years. This street is good for getting from one side of town to the other. There is not much to see on this street, and it is tempting to speed up to 50, as there are no stop signs along this stretch. The Speed Limit is 30. GCPD may sit on Bromley, August, Kate, Henry, or any of the side streets to catch people. This trap is not set up too frequently, but one should not get too used to flying down East 23rd.

They sit in the Briarcliffe Church parking lot so you can’t see them going west & you do see them until it’s to late going east.
