State Highway 45 near Center Street
Cops sit at Mobile Station or Italian Ovens Parking areas on the Deerpath side of the street. As cars pass through the intersection… Gotcha…
Center Street near Atkinson Road
As you are headed East on Center St past Atkinson and before RT45, as you approach the Lake County Fair Ground, be aware of a cop that usually sits at the entrance to the fair ground on the South side of the street.
90% of the time they are there between 7a and 9a and almost always have the radar gun out pointing and clicking.
Lake Street near Hillside Avenue
Not really a speed trap but make sure you have your seat belt on when there is a cop directing traffic after school. It happened a few times last year; they will tell you to go to the $2 lot and another cop is there writing the tickets for not wearing seat belts.
Drury Lane near Lake Street
While driving on Drury Lane towards Lake Street, you pass a park on the right hand side. Mainly during the morning hours and night time, there’s a cop sitting in the parking lot. The road used to be 45 mph but the sign was taken down after a few accidents and construction. If you are driving towards Rollins, the sign says 30mph and it’s pretty easy to see the cop. If you are driving towards Lake Street, there is no speed limit sign and you can’t see the cop until you pass the patch of trees and at that point, the cop is right there in that parking lot.
State Highway 120 near State Highway 21
There will be a car parked on the North/South rte. 21 overpass as it intersects East/West rte.120. Enforcement is for cars travelling eastbound on 120. The unmarked car on the overpass is tracking speed and will radio marked/unmarked patrol car sitting out of sight further east on 120. There can sometimes be as many as 6 tag cars to issue tickets radioed by the unmarked car on top of the bridge. Now that construction is over be on the lookout.
