Lisle, Illinois Speed Traps
Odgen Avenue near Interstate 355
I have noticed lately that the Lisle police sit either at Ivanhoe (the Speedway gas station is on the corner) or on Arbor View. I believe that upon seeing a car accelerate from the I-355 exit onto Odgen, the officer will slip out into traffic & get up close to the "offender" to see if they will continue to accelerate thru the intersection at Kingston (the Post Office is on the South Side) where the speed limit drops to 35.
warrenville Road near State Route 53
the officer sits at the bottom of the hill right next to the dupage river branch as you approach rt53 going east.it goes from 45 to 35 because there is construction going on at the i88 underpass and due to "scott’s law" (state law) the minimum fine is 375.00 plus court costs(total 430.00)i paid my lawyer 150.00 but she couldn’t get me out of it(due to it being a state law).the other option-going to a jury trial was not a good one because if i lost, the potential for court costs plus lawyer’s fees plus fine could be in the thousands.i live just up the road but this officer didn’t care and would not consider a warning.funny thing is i’ve lived in lisle for 9 years, drive by the site every day of the year and know well that they sit there,i also have a 500.00 valentine one radar detector which is the best in the industry.but with instant on laser and little traffic around(it was 10:00 am on a workday)you’re screwed if you don’t heed the sign. hope this helps at least 1 person from falling into this very expensive trap.

Interstate 355 near Maple Road
Trap is for South bound 355 Traffic. officer sits on the off ramp at maple just before the underpass. They pick you off using laser. they use the trigger on/off so you likely have the ticket before the detector goes off. after the over pass and the gentle curve, there are at least 10 cars waiting to pick off an unsuspecting motorist. 1 in 15 cars were getting pulled over at this trap during rush hour. the next 1/2 mile after this over pass is littered with cops and their victims.
Maple Avenue near Interstate 355
When you get off of 355 it’s hard to do the speed limit and they catch you as you are going down Maple where it’s 35mph. They don’t give warnings either.
