Cop sits in mediain. If heading north on Finley he will tag you as your coming down the hill and arounf the curve, after it’s too late. Pretty easy to see the cops coming southbound. Stay at the speed limit or 5 over and you should be ok

22nd Street near Finley Road

Lombard, IllinoisJul 05, 20071 Comments

There is often a cop clocking people from one of the residential side streets who are driving on 22nd between Finley and Lloyd in unincorporated Lombard; if you are traveling west on 22nd, the speed limit drops suddenly from 40 mph down to 25, and the cops sit very shortly after the posted change. It is very easy to be speeding right past them with the significant drop in the speed limit, so I have gotten in the habit of braking to assure that I am going slow enough…this sometimes frustrates other drivers behind me, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve braked to adhere to the speed limit change, someone behind me is mad, and there’s a cop waiting…I’ve saved myself and lots of people driving behind me tickets.

Main Street near Washington to Maple

Lombard, IllinoisJun 13, 20072 Comments

Police will park on west side of street across from Mr. Z, as speed goes rapidly from 30 to lower speed. Police are especially out when high school students get their licenses, usually Spring and Fall, and normally 3PM – 5PM. Also drive up & down Main Street to from Washington to St. Charles & back.
