Mazon, Illinois Speed Traps

Many times there will be a cop sitting in the parking lot of Mazon State Bank. While I have seen them sitting there at different times of the day, night is the most common time for them to sit there. Use more caution when traveling East towards 47 because it’s harder to spot them right away from that side of the bank.

Mazon Police sit anywhere along Illinois Route 47 waiting to catch speeders. Because it is a smaller town, and is high traffic, people like to just speed on through, especially tractor-trailers. There is a highly used rail-road crossing that people like to go around the gates, and they will catch gate crossers as well.
