Minooka, Illinois Speed Traps

The trap is typically on Ridge Road from I80 south to Minooka Road. Watch the used car lot on the east side and the bank or Wendy’s on the west side. If you go through late night, they are almost always there looking for folks to roll through the stop sign at the end of the interstate ramp. They will routinely follow you and tailgate you very closely. As you look in your rear view mirror and swerve a little because of the distracting police car right behind you, they will then pull you over and say you swerved…that is all they need to check you for seat belts or DUI! The area residents are fed up with their over zealous behavior.
