Jefferson Street near State Route 59

Naperville, IllinoisMar 02, 20040 Comments

This is the section of Jefferson between Ogden & Rt. 59. The speed limit is 30, which is too low for the wide, flat road that it is, and there is NO residential there. This also applies to Fort Hill Rd, where the limit drops from 40 mph to 30 mph for the stretch between Jefferson and Ogden. Also a wide open road and it used to be 40 mph on that stretch. I work right there and see at least one car pulled over in this area every day. 3 people I work with have recieved tickets here for going between 38 and 44 mph. Be very careful here, best not to do over 35 even though that seems rediculously low for these streets. All the Naperville unmarkeds are used here, the most common one being a drak green minivan.

Watch yourself, especially after 10pm all the way into the early morning. Cars, usually marked sit aside the road and run radar on unsuspecting motorists, most going to and from the former taco bell/wendys hangout. Ive seen them working in teams so be careful. About 50 high perf cars got kicked out of the parking lots at 75th and Naper Plainfeild, and on the way to another place to hang out, saw about 5 cruisers just waiting. Pay attention to your detector, it WILL save you

A cop will usually sit in the parking lot just west of the Edwards Hospital enterance. I slowed down to let a guy in front of me turn, then hit the gas to speed back up as there were people behind me… I had slowed down to 15 and the cop clocked me at 53 in a 30… since the cop was sitting right in front of where I was accelerating, she was moving the radar as I was speeding back up to speed… there’s no fesible way I was going 53… just watch out though!

Knoch Knolls Road (95th Street) between Ring Rd. and Naperville/Plainfield Rd.

Marked and unmarked Naperville Police cars often sit along this route at all times of the day. In the 25 MPH zone just east of Modaff Road near Knoch Knolls Park, it is very easy to speed and cops often park in the Knoch Knolls park parking lot, waiting for their victims. (Note: Naperville PD almost always give out $75 tickets.)

either an unmarked green impala or and unmarked blue expedition will sit in the garden plots to the west side or the parkinglot to the east side. sometimes a white caprice will drive up and down the road. IMPORTANT if you see one police car drive by its not safe because their are usaly 2 cop cars in that area!
